Bio

Born in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, England in 1993; 20 year old Emily-Grace has spent most of her life growing up in Telford, Shropshire.

Having studied art as a subject since GCSE Level, she went on to studying Photography and Graphic Design as As and A Level subjects. Emily then decided to go on to doing a Foundation course in Art and Design at Staffordshire University in 2011 where she would then move on to studying the BA HONS Photography course at the same university. Currently, Emily is in her second year of this course and will be graduating in 2015.

Emily-Grace decided to study photography because she has always been handy with a camera. She found a passion for it when studying at New College Telford and fell in love with the subject when she had an open day lecture with photographer David Noble at Staffordshire University. Her photographic influences have been Sally Mann, Robert Mapplethorpe, Martin Parr, Carl Warner and artist Allan Teger. Usually Emily-Grace works with digital photography as she finds it easier to process and edit her work, although Emily does use film cameras as a hobby.

Other than photography, Emily-Grace also enjoys going to exhibitions, galleries and museums; her favourite being the Natural History Museum in London because she has a great interest in science and geology. Emily also spends her free time playing video games, collecting old cameras, browsing antique stores, watching American sitcoms and cooking.

Emily-Grace Photography is most recognised for her Nudescape work; close up photographs of the nude body transformed into landscapes using the photographic technique of Photomontage.
